Laurel (bay) LeafThe leaf of the bay laurel - Laurus nobilis - a native shrub of the lands surrounding the northern and eastern shores of the Mediterranean, has a mythic history. Ancient mythology recounts that Apollo pursued the uninterested nymph Daphne. Apollo stalked Daphne until the gods granted her protection by turning her into a bay tree. In the Greek as well as Georgian languages, the herb is still called "dafni." At the Temple of Delphi, which is dedicated to Apollo, the priestesses would eat bay leaves before divining the future. Because bay leaves are mildly narcotic, this may have helped induce the trance state. Even the roof of the temple was thatched bay leaves. This roofing not only served as a sunscreen, but protection from lightning, disease, and evil spirits. Romans considered the bay tree the best protection from thunderstorms. As recently as the beginnings of the American era, superstition held that when bay trees died, disaster followed.
The greatest commercial production of bay leaf today is in Turkey. In second comes Georgia. LLC Caucasan has set to its goal to promote Georgian laurel leaf on international stage and Bay laurels do not withstand heavy frost but require hot, dry summers for production of concentrated essential oils.
Typically bay leaves are used whole or crumbled added to cooking, or consumed as a tea. Bay leaf comes together with parsley and thyme resulting in the subtle yet flavorful blend known as Bouquet Garni, and enhances the taste of any stew, soup or sauce it is introduced into.

EucalyptusOriginally native to Australia, eucalyptus trees are now grown all over the world and used for their medicinal properties. Their healing power comes from eucalyptus oil, which is made from the tree’s oval-shaped leaves.
Eucalyptus is a diverse genus of flowering trees and shrubs in the myrtle family. Members of the genus dominate the tree flora of Australia, and include the tallest known flowering plant on Earth. Of the 15 species found outside Australia, just nine are exclusively non-Australian.
Some eucalyptus species have attracted attention from horticulturists, global development researchers, and environmentalists because of desirable traits such as being fast-growing sources of wood, producing oil that can be used for cleaning and as a natural insecticide, or an ability to be used to drain swamps and thereby reduce the risk of malaria. Eucalyptus oil finds many uses like in aromatherapy, as a cure for joint pains.

NettleStinging nettle - Urtica dioica is a herbaceous perennial flowering plant in the family Urticaceae. It is native to Europe, Asia, northern Africa, and western North America, and introduced elsewhere. The species is divided into six subspecies, five of which have many hollow stinging hairs called trichomes on the leaves and stems, which act like hypodermic needles, injecting histamine and other chemicals that produce a stinging sensation when contacted by humans and other animals.
Since nettle is rich in vitamins A and C, iron, potassium, manganese, and calcium it is being used as food and has a flavor similar to spinach. It is used in drinks – as tea and in alcoholic drinks for flavor and also as a source of textile and fiber.
As with other products LLC Caucasan does not cultivate nettle but gathers it in Georgian wilderness through local population.
